William Morris Quilt finished

image.jpegAfter a few glitches with my computer I am back. There has been a lot of sewing and quite a few WIP’s are now finished. First on the list was my William Morris appliqué quilt.  There was some hand appliqué and some machine appliqué depending on my mood. I machine quilted on my longarm with a stipple allover, and finished her off with a matching binding. She is well admired in our visitors room.

Safe & Happy Easter

I would like to wish all my quilting friends a safe and happy Easter this weekend.  Maybe you are travelling or maybe you can settle into your sewing room for some creative time.  At our house we are getting ready for a house full of visitors, some special family we haven’t seen for a while.  So I have some hand sewing ready so I can be productive and sociable in between meals and sight seeing.  I hope to finish the borders on my William Morris quilt.

I am looking at taking bookings for Machine Quilting for April so if you need help finishing your quilts, whatever stage they are at, give me ring or email me to discuss and get a quote.  I can collect from the Brisbane / Ipswich area.

I can do simple freehands or computerised edge to edge or block patterns.  Lots of variety to choose from.

Remember, A Quilt is not a Quilt till its quilted.

Happy Easter,

Lyn.

Quilts need finishing?

If you have any quilts that need finishing, I can help.

With my Handiquilter on a 12′ table I can quilt bigger than Queen size with Edge to Edge, Freehand or customised computerised designs.

If you need I can also construct your quilts, add borders, add bindings and rod pockets.  Whatever you don’t have time for, I can help you with.

Contact me to discuss on 0412 365 494.

Happy Quilting, Lyn.

William Morris madness

Finally! Well not really, but the blocks are done and together. This labour of love has been in the sewing basket for a number of years and on the list of to do’s since Michelle Hill published it in 2004.  It has taken several full days to knock over the last blocks and get it to this stage.

I can now add the appliqué borders and plan the quilting.

More soon.

Happy Quilting, Lyn.
