This week I had the pleasure to quilt this gorgeous Japanese quilt in wonderful hues of orange and red. We thought a clamshell design would be fitting and it suited it so well, all in Aurufil thread in matching gold. She is delighted and so am I.
In my Studio
Good day for washing quilts
Sunny and windy today, unlike Sydney, so some quilts went in the wash. This is a 1 patch, 4 patch, 9 patch plaid with freehand loopies drying nicely. Looks like it might need an iron though. Good day for finishing some things to add to my Etsy store – make sure to a look.
Happy Quilting.
My Lovely Studio
My Studio
I am half way towards setting “My Studio” up properly. I have the bookcase, cutting table and sewing table in, and I have filled up the shelves with books and fabric and notions.
Just my Sweet Sixteen to go in now. But the men in my life had to go to work today and all the goods deeds I expected them to do will have to wait.
BUT I did get a noticeboard for the kitchen made, and very attractive it is too, if I do say so myself.
Now we will know when the latest Motorbike Rally is on.
Machine Quilting
I have made fantastic progress with fixing up our spare room and I will be setting up my Machine Quilter this week. Can’t wait to get it running again after going without it for a while.
